Parole & Clemency
McNeil & Associates - North Carolina Military Attorneys

Military inmates with a 12-month or greater sentence are eligible to request parole after serving one-third of their sentence (but a minimum of six months). The Clemency and Parole Board in Washington, DC, serves as the final decision authority, and considers such matters as the circumstances surrounding the crime, the petitioner's military and confinement record, the impact of parole on the victim, and the well-being of the civilian community into which the prisoner would be released. The Board may also grant clemency (reduction in release date) at a point dependent on the sentence length, although it must be at least one year.

If you are nearing eligibility for either clemency or parole, and are seeking the services of an attorney who is experienced in military clemency and parole matters, you can take comfort in the fact that McNeil & Associates is uniquely qualified to prepare and present your case.
